Inaugural program of month-long athletics training in Chauddagram Upazila organized by District Sports Office Comilla
Comilla District Sports Office under the annual sports program 2023-24 of the Department of Sports under the Ministry of Youth and Sports 'Chauddagram Haji Zafar Ali Government Pilot High School. Participation of students from various clubs and educational institutions in the field 07/02/2024 AD. Month-long athletics training started from date. District Sports Officer, Comilla Mr. Md. Nazim Uddin Bhuiyan presided over the inaugural function and Mr. JP Dewan, Upazila Executive Officer, Chauddagram, Comilla was present as the chief guest. Mr. Rupam Sengupta, Principal Chouddagram Haji Zafar Ali Government Pilot Model High School, Mr. Alamgir Hossain Biplab, General Secretary, Upazila Sports Association, Chouddagram, Comilla were present as special guests. The chief guest said in his speech that it will be possible to produce national level players through month-long training. It is very important to focus on sports along with education. Everyone needs to work to get kids involved in sports. In his speech, the President called upon everyone to participate in such competitions for the purpose of spreading sports and developing sports talent at the grass root level. At the athletics and rural sports competition and prize distribution ceremony, teachers of various schools, students and local dignitaries, including journalists, Mr. Md. Fazlul Haque, Office Assistant (retired), District Sports Office Comilla, Mr. Md. Farhad Hossain, Office Assistant cum Computer Typist , District Sports Office, Comilla was present.
